Dollop, a new creative agency in Hove commissioned me to shoot headshots for their new website. To reflect their name, they wanted plasticine portraits. I've always enjoyed making things with my hands, so this was a great brief for me. The client was so happy with the results that I made and photographed a further social media campaign to help their launch.

FreegleUK promote reusing over recycling and have local websites where people can donate and pick up unwanted stuff for free. I was commissioned to shoot a series of portraits of Brighton Freegle customers with a range of free stuff that they had just picked up. The images are being used nationally to promote National Reuse Day in October.

A day in the life of Hurstpierpoint College, commissioned by Brighton agency Reborn. Hurst, as it is commonly known, is a public school in West Sussex catering for 4 to 18 year olds . I adopted a fly-on-the-wall approach to this shoot in order to get natural looking shots which reflected the true experience of student life.

A exhilarating commission photographing the fast moving world of Hyrox - run a kilometre, complete a functional workout challenge, and repeat. 8 kilometres, 8 challenges. The studio was bathed in rich LED light so I used a contrasting gelled LED to add a bit of drama to the athletes. All very comic book hero stuff.

One of the best things about Brighton is that it is jammed between the sea and the South Downs. In just a few minutes you can be surrounded by fields in all directions. The National Park run many events to involve and educate the public. I've been commissioned many times to document Dark Skies and Wild Chalk events as well as the opening of wheelchair friendly routes and rainwater retention schemes in Brighton schools.

In November 2019, the Daily Mirror devoted a whole issue to the Climate emergency. I was commissioned to shoot a series of images to help highlight the variety of issues.

Ad agency Gravy commissioned be to photograph this campaign for Brighton Girls, an independent school founded in 1876. They wanted to get away from the traditional documentary style of imagery and to create stylistic set ups which better reflected the ethos of the school.

For this online advertising campaign for St Andrew’s Prep school in Eastbourne, we brought the blazer colours to life. I shot light trails in a darkened studio to weave through the shots I’d photographed in the school and animated them together in post.

I was commissioned by Brighton agency Propellernet to photograph an Easter Egg hunt for Hotel Chocolat featuring their brand ambassador, Beau Bunny. I developed a surreal look across the campaign by shooting composite images using long exposure backgrounds mixed with the super sharp shots of the rabbit and the floating egg (created by the ingenious folk at Guineapig). The campaign ran across social media and the shots were picked up by local papers around the country, gained Hotel Chocolat thousands of Facebook and Twitter followers, more than exceeding their expectations. 

A 14ft high illuminated mobile artwork, 'Peace Poem' by Emergency Exit Arts and poet and artist Robert Montgomery. On November 12th 2018, 100 years on from the first day of peace after WW1, it embarked on a year long tour around the UK, gathering stories, pledges and poems of peace for a National Peace Archive. Furdrobe is a new company, devoted to creating high end canine couture. Working directly with the client I developed a sumptuous photographic look shooting ballgowns, jackets and accessories against velvet backdrops with bold lighting to make the most of the hand-applied Swarovski crystals. The £40,000 Peacock Ballgown shoot was filmed by Channel 4 for their programme 'The World's Most Expensive Presents' with my stills being used to publicise the show and the dress in eight national newspapers.

Advertising ideas like this don’t come along very often so it was a thrill to be given this little gem to photograph and direct.

Vintage French’s first marketing campaign uses the talents of a classic mime artist to ‘present’ the furniture in a tantalising manner with text completing the picture.

An interesting studio portrait shoot for Yell.com to accompany their 'Future Gazers' report which looks at trends affecting small businesses over the next 30 years. Commissioned by Brighton’s Propellernet, channeled Nostradamus and other prophets of yesteryear and give four business owners a historic makeover to help them truly get in the future gazing mindset. We hired a stunning painted backdrop and lit the entrepreneurs with a simple lighting to match the diffused window light used by the old masters.
